JRB Apartment-FHA Lugbe

The proposal was to provide short-term leisure stay for workers. Thus, a combination of one –bedroom and two- bedroom apartments designed with practical interiors. The structure is laid-out along the perimeter of the site thus bounding a sizeable and suitable common open space in the frontage. Passive design principles were employed in the general planning with emphasis on orientation, daylighting, shading and ventilation. Due to the size of the building, vertical characters were accentuated in the elevation to create a visual balance. Contrasting colours were use to complement the delicate wooden detail design in the elevation.
