The client’s aspiration for their office space in Abuja was to create an iconic and model sustainable edifice. As a sustainable energy technology company, this was more than just an office space project. The client required a show building that would showcase every aspect of their business in the form and general layout of the building.

The result is an off-grid, fully sustainable office complex with cutting-edge digital technologies that automate all aspects of work, from simple door and window opening to a more complex power management system.

The goal of making the complex a showpiece sustainable energy technology building in Abuja inspired us to adopt a site-responsive orientation, natural daylight and passive ventilation techniques for all spaces, rainwater harvesting and reuse, local materials, and a solar panel roof to create a 100% off-grid structure. This four-story building stands tall against the Wuye mountain terrain with other ancillary facilities to keep the company functional and commercially viable.

The complex includes an unrivaled office building, an assembly plant with warehouse for material storage, employee quarters, and a solar technology display area.
